How To Make Your Hair Smell Good

How To Make Your Hair Smell Good 1

There could be nothing enchanting than leaving a sweet fragrance behind you. Often, spraying perfume or even a lightweight eau de toilette can prove too strong. A strongly fragranced hair could give you a sexy yet subtle aroma, but you need to know how to make that last long. Here are some tips that you could follow for sweet-smelling strands which last all day long.

Spray perfume on your hairbrush

If you’re not in favor of using a ton of styling products on your hair, you could simply spray your hairbrush with perfume and then comb your hair straight away. Most fragrances are alcohol-based which can have harsh effects on your hair.

Soak your hair strands in shower gel

While you give your body a cleansing scrub in the shower, give your hair a saturation with the body wash. Your shower gel has a rich, thick scent that lingers in your hair for hours.

Layer Fragrant Hair Products

When you are in love with a specific hair product, you should use the entire line just to cover up its aroma. Choose a fresh and fruity fragrance that has frizz-fighting properties.

Let the heat rise up

Using heat-activated hair products help you lock in a long-lasting fragrance. You can go for a blow-drying balm, a blow-dry lotion, which would help you avoid damage, at the same time add scent and shine to your hair.

Dry shampoo

Dry shampoos are the best way to refresh your hair without water, yet remove all the dirt and oil. And the scented varieties contained will make your hair smell amazing.

Leave-In Conditioner

Apply a leave-in conditioner through your hair and watch it work overnight. Use a conditioner that is rich, nourishing and suitable for regular use. Apply your conditioner to your towel-dried hair, wrap it up in a sleeping cap and you’re off to sleep. Next morning you’ll wake up with an amazing fragrance which would stay scented all day long.

Keratin hair care

Keratin is mainly fragrant which acts as a natural protein in the skin, hair, and nails. Shampoo and conditioners are also masked by keratin. And because these products’ properties continue to work even after they’re applied, their fragrance stays longer.

Avoid heat

This is no brainstormer, if you observe that your hair smells of nothing even after you have used some amazing smelling shampoo, then the reason can probably be heat styling, all the straightening, blow-drying or curling will eventually be up to no good. So, it’s better, cut down on heat, using a heat protectant spray to maintain fresh-smelling hair instead of a burnt smell.

Tomatoes

An absolutely awesome way to get rid off-odor from your hair is tomato juice. Apply directly or dilute it with water to massage your scalp for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse off. Your hair will smell much fresher than before.
